I have a question in regards to SOL.

Due to relocation, I am currently living in the state where the SOL is longer than previous state. My question is SOL for my old debt will be expired pretty soon in previous state, yet I am not sure if this account will comply with the state I am currently in. I am in the process of whether this is actually my debt.

That's a good question. It would seem to me that the SOL should apply to the state in which the debt was originally incurred. Do your current or previous state laws specify anything regarding relocation, or do your original contracts specify anything? Hopefully someone will be along shortly who can shed more light.

Could you call the company that held the original contract? Perhaps they have a legal department or manager that is really familiar with the contract to point that out. Might be costly, but how about a lawyer? They might be able to tell you what to look for in the contract.
