What are the statue of limitations for a secured debt in the state of Florida? I have a debt from 2001 and I am constantly getting calls to pay off this debt, the last time was this morning 1/5/2011. I am unemployed with no unemployment benefits, they keep telling me "I can pay it off right now"..just give us a credit card number, etc. Can anyone give me any advice. Much thanks.
As far as I know, the statute of limitations for a secured debt
As far as I know, the statute of limitations for a secured debt in Florida is 5 years. As the SOL is over, the lender/creditor won't be able to take any legal actions against you.
