Is it Atypical for someone who is settling there debts to work with an lawyer from a different State? I searched for a settlement firm and came up with this one shepleylaw.com/whoweare.nxg. I am from WI and the firm is in Penn. Has any one heard of Harold Shepley and Associates? So far I am pleased, and they seem to really care and help, I would just like farther reassurance as I am just beginning the program.

Thanks for Sharing!

To negotiate with creditors on a client's behalf, the settlement attorney/company does not have to be in the same state as the client. I had not heard of Harold Shepley & Associates, so looked his organization up on the BBB site, and was pleasantly surprised to find that he is a member of the BBB and has a satisfactory record.

That is very encouraging, and if you feel pleased with their performance so far, that is even better. Please keep posting on your progress, I'm curious to see how it continues.

How much is it costing you for their services, and how does their program work? This info would be beneficial to other forum members who may be considering a debt settlement program.
