If I had a loan in one state, but currently live in another, what state must any potential lawsuits be filed - the state where the loan originated, or the state I currenlty live in? And which states SOL apply?

The SOL will be applicable on the state where the loan has originated.

Usually not the case. State courts differ but typically the SOL comes from the state that the debtor NOW lives it.

Lawsuit is also likely to be filed in the state where the loan has originated.

Again, not the case. Lawsuit must be brought where the defendant lives now.
