I have a one-time opportunity to settle a debt, and there is constraint on time. So, will it protect me adequately if I have the company fax me the settlement offer with pd in full stipulation, rather than go through the mail? What if anything else should I request be in their fax? Kate

Settlement letters are pretty standard and as a general rule, you cant request any changes.
