desperate to get out of this trap- i stopped the rollover payday loan cycle. Now that I am being dunned by 4 of them- I can pay all at once. I just had to get out of this cycle. Is there anyone in Ohio that will help me consolidate these payday loans? I earn a good wage.

Welcome! First of all, are these internet or storefront loans? While I do not know of a consolidation company that will do this with payday loans, it is the law in OH that all storefront pdls make payment arrangements with you..However you did mention rollovers so i am assuming that these are internet...Rollovers are not permitted in the state of OH so what I need to know from you is Who you borrowed from/how much you borrowed from them/and how much have they taken in so called rollover fees? It is possible that you have already paid what you legally owe these companies and our next step would be helping you get them off your back!

thanks for answering me. I am extremely nervous abt this. $800-Cashland/$800 Ace payday/$900 Cashnet/$700 to Chexsmart. They are storefronts except for Cashnet.I had to close my checking acct, because the bank took so much money from me in overdraft fees for one error--it threw my whole budget off. Overdraft fees of close to $400 in 1 month. I felt like I was being robbed. Anyway, I've let them all know my account is closed and I'm trying to make arrangements to pay but they all want it all at once. I am trying to improve my credit rating and be ontime with my regular bills, so I can't pay them all at once. I know this is awful and all my fault. ASAP processing in in Nevada has charged me $180 mo since december for a $390 loan. They told me I owe them $541- I told them to forget it. I told them they have already gotten $540.

Ok ASAP is paid-so here is what we do with that one, draft them a letter stating that pursuant to OH laws this loan is paid in full and demand that they mark it as suck(go to paydayloaninfo.org and click on OH and use those laws in your letter) Tell them you are filing a complaint with the OH AG and then do it. They may still give you a hard time but be persistant-you owe them nothing more! As for the storefront ones-rest assured that there is nothing they can do to you because in the state of OH they have to give you a repayment plan...Make sure that you are persistant in this matter and stick to whatever payment arrangments are made...Send them a promisary note outlining what you will pay to each company and when. They are going to give you a hard time but there is not a whole lot they can do because the law is on your side.

I really appreciate the advise. There is really no one you can talk to about this type of thing.I have to pay my car, house and utilities. I will never do this again. Not worth the stress. I'm going to set up a monthly payment arrangement with each one that I can live with- $40 or so to each. Not the $400 that they are asking for. Then if I have more, I will send it. You guys are terrific.Thank you.

You can talk to us any time. When I found this forum, it was because I couldn't talk to anyone else about this stuff either but with the help of this site I have started taking back my life. Welcome to the forums. I am trying to work with Cashland as well. I defaulted and owe them $575. They will insist on payment in full or very large payments but they will accept whatever you pay them.

They have all tried to say thusfar that they wanted half. I am really trying to improve my credit score by paying my regular bills on time and since Dec I have been successful. My score has gone up 60 pts. From now on I will get Money orders for bills and pay cash for everything else. One think that led to this fiasco is the banks overdraft fees and the way they post items when a deposit come in. I work too hard to give away money like that. That is why I closed the ckg account. This will never happen again-the bank or payday loans. Best and thnks

if you are using a credit counseling service and can get out of it- do so. That brings your score down as much as being delinquent. Also I used a credit correction agency to clear up a lot of stuff on my bureaus and that worked. I am making a serious effort to pay on time--that is why I can't have the bank taking my money in od fees and the pdl in finance charges. I must stop these pdls
