I am going to be calling them this weekend. But, a question. It says on their site that they cannot assist members of the armed services because it could affect security clearances. Question 1: Why?
Question 2: If the settlement is in my name only, would this still be an issue?
thanks-

Because you are not making payments on time to your creditors and thus hurts your credit. The government might see that as you could possibly sell his country out to someone like Al-Qaeda for money . Thus they will yank you security clearance. Besides when you Commanding office finds out you are not paying your bills he will not be happy.

If you are not in the military and the accounts are only in your name and not your spouses name who is in the military you are fine.
