Allied Interstate - info, not a question

They have been plaguing me for a few months with an 800- service number, When I did not answer, no message was left; when I answered, I heard only a click. When I eventually called back at 800-210-0434, The recorded message directed me to call Allied Interstate at 800-570-5718. At this number, (??"publishing??), I was told that Allied was a third party collection agency. Giving them (-5718) only my last name and zip code, the person told me that they had my last name and zip on file but with a different address and a different--not related--first name. The service person gave me an Allied number to call, 866-235-3868. At this number, an Allied person told me they had on file, my phone number, my building address (no apartment number) but a totally different last name.
He informed me (I forgot to get his name) that he would remove my phone number from their call list.
I will now go to find a neighbor with the surname he gave me.
