I have been receiving phone calls from NAFS for a few months now, and I have been checking my credit report. There is nothing on there from this collection agency, but I am afraid to even call them. Should I call them, or just ignore it?

Do what Paulmergel has suggested. If they don't send you a debt validation letter, then send a cease and desist letter via certified mail and request them to stop contacting you further. If they still call you, then register a complaint with FTC.
