WWR and debt settlment companies

Will WWR take me into court if I have turned them over to a debt settlement compnay...Original debt was 8,800, paid down to 8,200. I paid 250 a month for 3 mons. All of a sudden they want 980 a month to pay it off. I freaked out and turned it over to a Debt settlement. They said they would settle for 5,500 but I dont have that kind of cash lying around...they were very mean too. It was either that or bankrupcy. I wanted to pay the debt but they want it in the next 9mos..I cant do it. I have had breast cancer and two surgeries in the paste year and a half..I havent been able to work..they didnt care.

Tricky situation. I would not advise you to go for bankruptcy as it will hurt your credit score. It can lower your credit score by 200-250 points. If you really can't pay $5,500, then you can borrow a short-term loan from your family or friends. You can also consider enrolling into a consolidation program. This may help you lower your payments. Another point I would like to add is that, you have to start earning money. You can also start working online to make money.
