Process servers

I just had a guy call that said his name was mark stepknee and that he was a process server trying to set up a time to serve the papers to me.
He said the case # was USCOM 2317 and that the plantiff's number was 855-602-7999. I have no idea what this is about and I don't know if i should call. He said he would be actively trying to serve the papers at my work or home-
Is this a legitimate process server???????

not legit at all.
no process server will call in advance.whoever this is is a scam, and i guarantee you if you look up on your court clerk's website.that case number will not show up.scammers throw numbers out like that to appear legit, but this is not.file a police report for the call, and then file an AG complaint as well.then ignore them as again no server will call in advance.a scammer, and bottomfeeder.
