I was referred to Persels & Assoc through CareOne. I researched CareOne and found positive feedback online. They've automatically deducted two payments from my bank account (this is how they work). And I've received two letters saying they are unable to contact me and will close my account if not able to do so, yet they've never called nor left messages. I called them once and said that my account was in good standing. Two days ago a got pdf file from them via email stating the have closed my account on MY request. This is complete rubbish.

Can you please advise me on what to do now? I have contacted my bank as to not allow any further deductions from them, and going with a friend's recommendation with debt settlement company she used with good results.

Keep calling persels & even call Care One ! we enrolled with them & cancelled enrollment 6 days later, no money taken from account- we did that in dec 2009.. just a couple of weeks ago, i got 8 emails from them the same day similiar to what you are saying you got via email (they came from careone, not persels). i forwarded the emails to the care one customer service telling them i do not have an account with them, and got a response back that they had a glitch in their system...
but you are wise to contact your bank, just in case it is a scam of some sorts.
