I have a question for you not sure if you can help me or you know where to point me. I have a creditor that years ago was written off during a bankruptcy it been like 12-13 years. My bankruptcy is totally clear and does not show up on creditor nether does the creditor. My problem is that this collection agency with unscrupulous and sometime illegal ways. What do I do to prevent them from harrassing me or trying to collect on a debt that was written off.

Hi,

It is true that after completion of bankruptcy and the discharge of the debt, no collection agency can do anything to you. But, if the collection agency is still harassing you over the debt, you can send them a "cease and desist letter" through certified mail requesting return receipt (CMRRR).

Hope this helps.
