I received a first time call via-phone, from 866-281-4135, saying that I must call them back, I did, this guy answered sounds like Inda, started asking me personal info. I refused to give anything, other then, he had my name, and my phone number, I asked who is the collection from? he refused to tell me, and I told him nothing of myself, he told me to call back when I will give him the information, I will never call them I have no idea who they are or why there calling me.But i have been scammed in the past and I will never give any info. over the phone to a number that I don't know and they refuse to explain the collection is from what.

Several big CA's DO legitimately outsource to India. The above poster should not make assumptions without knowing what you owe and to whom.

The CA cannot disclose information without identification. It will not hurt for you to give your name and phone number and even the last four numbers of your SS #.
