I have received notice from this company saying I owe money. I check my report for credit twice a year and the original creditor acct no. is no where to be found . do I just ignore this garbage?

Write (snail mail via CMRRR) and ask them to validate the debt in writing. If they don't validate the debt within 30 days, send them a C&D letter.
