My account was originally with Capital One. it was charged off my account is 4 yrs old. I contacted them to make settlement to get this off my credit report they say i owe $932.00 Capital One Charge it off at $706.00,but my limit was$300.00.I call them offered the $300.00 to get rid of this they turned if down an countered $560.00.when i asked questioned she got smart with me. i called back no one else could help me but her for over a week I tried to call her no answer an she not calling me back i asked to talk to her supervisor she transfer me it went straight to voice mail .what can i do I need this to show it been resolved on my credit report asap i no i owe but not all of that. please help me
You can't show an account as been resolved when it has not been
You can't show an account as been resolved when it has not been paid off or settled. Sure you limit might have been $300 but with late fees and interest, to now owe $932. Capital One sets how much they will settle for with their collection agencies. So you either pay what they are asking or it stays on the file.
