If a person has an account with WFFNB and they change to Commenity Bank, is the person obligated to pay this new company? There were no documents signed with Commenity, but WFFNB.

Of course you are responsible for it...it you had read your card holder agreement, you are responsible to pay all assignee's of the debt.
