I received a call from a collection agency called PDLR today and work. The rep. stated that my wages were subject to be garnished if I did not pay for an old pay day loan. When asked about information for which I owe money to the p.day loan co. they were unable to provide any they do not have a website and I wonder if they are a legitimate business. Can my wages be garnished for a company that I know nothing about?

How long has it been since you made a payment on the PDL? If it has been awhile, you might want to double check with the court, just to insure that you didn't get sued without your knowledge and do have a judgment against you.
Process servers have been known to lie about serving a summons, and people can get default judgments and not know about it until there isn't much that can be done.
