Credit Card Debt settlement

My wife and I have just over $125,000 in credit card debt. She has lost her job and I can no longer make the minimum payments. We are in the process of selling some of our assests and will get around $40,000. We would like to settle as much of the debt with the credit card companies,but I'm not sure we can do this on our own. Can someone reccomend a settlement company who we can trust ??

ZipDebt - Charles Phelan is great and has an honest approach to do it yourself. We are just starting this process. $40K should knock out this debt you have. Expect 50% but if you are patient and wait for the 120-180 day late period you will start getting pretty aggresive settlement offers from the CC companies.
