Being sued for credit card debt

I am being sued from a lawyer for a credit card debt. The card was in my name only. My question is , i don't have a job but my husband does, we do not own a house, have any assets etc. Can they go after his paycheck,tax refund etc, to pay off my debt? We do have a joint checking account.Also, if i don't show up for court what can they do? Could they arrest me? I live in New Jersey.

Debts are civil...debtors prison went out with the dark ages.
