This member uses the same guest name, any way to ban the name? He posts dozens of ads similar to this.

I thought to do just that early this morning, Shazz. There's a problem, however... When you select the message or thread, then drop down to the mod tools and select 'Delete as Spam', you get this management dialog.





Now, I'd love to just tick 'Delete other posts and threads started by the affected users' and 'Physically remove', followed by 'Ban these users.' The problem is down at the bottom... Look at the 'Affected User.' Annonymous'. I didn't fiddle with it, for fear of discomfitting a legitimate guest poster. The system's either not capturing or not reporting an IP address, so that's no help either.

Best bet for now seems to be just deleting them outta hand. So far, the spam filter's been pretty good about catching them. I probably delete about 60+ of these a day, using the 'Moderator's Section.' Great feature, that.

Yeah, I saw the anonymous, I just thought that maybe there was some way to prevent a guest from choosing that user name, but it appears not, dang it! lol

It's most probably a bot, Shazz. Just continue to take out the trash like we've always done. UntilAdmin/Tech gets us some more/better/different tools, that's all we can do.
