Has anyone had any luck having a settlement agree to report a paid in full status instead of a settlement status? And also agree not to report to the IRS by issuing a 1099 C ? I am days away from doing a chapter 13 and thought may be in a last-ditch effort.

I don't think settling a debt just before filing ch 13 is a good idea. Let's wait for the experts to comment on this issue.
