What I know:
Amount agreed upon
"paid as agreed" to appear in my (what do you call it Credit file?)
Questions:
should my wifes name be included? I dont know if her credit has/will be affected as she is merely a permitted card user, though she has a card of her own connected to to my accnt (had:-)
probably needs to mention that the settlement is for the total debt including any interest or late fees since my last payment? principal/interest?
should this document be signed by someone from BoA whose name I recognize?
I just dont want to have an mix ups or bogus offers. Any and all help is appreciated greatly.

You can ask for all you want but ehy might (msot probably ) wont
You can ask for all you want but ehy might (msot probably ) wont agree to 95% of what youa re asking. As for you wifes name. Was her name on teh cards? if not then dont worry. Were cards held jointly?
they said that she is listed as a card user so her name is on it
they said that she is listed as a card user so her name is on it. i would include it just to be safe. if her name was no were on it that would be different. and yes im assuming her credit is most likely being effected by it. you can try to negotiate was is shown on your report but they usually dont agree to this but its worth a try
