If over 21, can I still give my permission for my mother to talk to the collection agency on my behalf?

I currently handle all of my spouses verbal communications with cc accts; they have always just needed to talk with them first to validate and get approval since I am not listed on the accts. I would have your mother call them and see what they say. Another option if that doesn't work, would be to only communicate thru written correspondence.

The CA may not want to talk with your mother, thinking it might be easier to get you agree to make payment...just be insistent and see what they say.
