OK Thank for all the advice I have been getting regarding RJM/Wachovia COmplaint.

1st thing I did was send an Answer to the complaint to be filed with courthouse
2nd I sent a validation letter to the Atty whom is handling the RJM's acct.
3rd I send a copy of the answer I sent the courthouse to the atty handling the RJM account

today I got a letter from the atty NOT validating the debt, only to say that since I do not live in the county they had sent to the summons to originally, they moved to have a change of venue to the county I live in now.

NO court date, NO validation, NO nothing. or Should I expect more to come?

Should I just call them, ask them for a breakdown in what I suppose to actual owe Wachovia, and if that jives with what I might have, try to work out a payment arrangement?- if they refuse, and a courtdate is set, and a default judgment is rendered, who would i make payments to in order to resolve the issue, even it just shows, default-paid in full.

I do not have money for an attorney, and would just like to see this go far far away..

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I know this is an old subject but can anyone tell me if what i did was correct and in this circumstance what can I expect? Since I am getting what appears no where from this attorney. I called Wachovia, they wont talk to me - and I hate to bother anyone, but I have always gotten great advice from this board, and in the past I have been able to learn alot !!

thanks!

yes that is correct.
I have already submitted an answer to the complaint, as well as sent a validation letter to the attorney that "served" me.
I called Wachovia, but got no where, and I did a change of venue document from the attorney.

i am now lost as to what to do next. I cant get an accurate amount owed from Wachovia, and no validation of the debt from the attorney's office yet.

Should I just call RJM or the attorney? or should I expect a new summons from the county I live in now to go to court?

this is now getting confusing.

Thank you for any suggestions, advice.

Not sure that this last post makes sense, please clarify your last statement. If you have information that will help please post. It appears that the person has answered your questions, no offense, but riddles such as " this is the number one thing you need to know right now, sounds like they are in my eyes." do not help those in need of advice.
TY.

I agree, speaking in riddles is not a very effective way to "help" people, not to mention the lack of grammar and spelling skills is a big red flag, in my opinion.

im sorry, you should call rjm who owns the debt and confirm which attorney is collecting on it, possibly they will work with you but i assume they will have you speak with the attorney working on it, if it is in your home state you will want to act fast depending on your rights for the state you live in.

i would give you my number to call me for more help but these super smart mods want you to sign up with this program which has a 90% failure rate.

since you feel that strongly.why not leave?nobody needs the attitude.

Almost certainly, your Wachovia account got sold for pennies on the dollar and eventually RJM bought it. RJM will buy anything. Yes, Sessoms & Rogers is a real firm and they're admitted in North Carolina, and I'm sure they really are collecting for RJM. I've dealt with Sessoms & Rogers many times. You will likely never get to talk to an actual lawyer at Sessoms & Rogers because they consider themselves much too good to talk to ordinary people. They make their staff do all the work.

Where are you in NC? Google "Chris L in NC" and I might be able to give you some CORRECT information.

I am sure RJM bought it for dirt cheap. I am wondering if they are willing to pay their attorneys more than what I owe Wachovia. I have tried to contact RJM however, I never get through. Anyhow, I contacted the clerk of court where the actual complaint was filed, and was told that they haven't calendared the motion for change of venue, and that the attorney for Sessoms would have to make an appearance, but I would not have too. If the Judge approves the change of venue, how long would it take before I would get an actual court date in my new county, and would the atty from Sessoms have to appear in the county I currently reside in?
I just find it irritating that I have not received any prior correspondence before and after I have moved (I did leave a forward address change with USPS) and it just all the sudden came to point that I got summoned. Seems like I missed something here.

Chris L in NC if you are registered PM me.
