I have a wells fargo finanical credit card that I am trying to settle. They sent me a couple of form letters/offers to settle and I responded each time saying that I can't afford that much. Last night they agreed to a great settlement but said I had to agreed to a phone payment from my checking account but that it could be postdated. I asked for the settlement in writing but they said I had to agree for the payment 1st..Finally got them to fax me the agrrement with the amount and that is had to be paid by the post dated date and the letter also said it would them be marked a account paid in full/settled. My concern is the letter they faxed is just like the offer letter with the amounts and dates changed to reflect our verbal agreement--should this be acceptable? The settled amount is great!! Just nervous..thanks for any comments you can help me with.
