Payday loan relief now another debt we can't pay

we had 2 payday loans(storefront) totaling 2000$ here in ohio. when my old man's hours started to go down at his job, we couldn't afford to pay them back on time. We contacted Relief llc(very nice people) to deal with the 2 lenders. they put us on a payment program of 149.00 every 2 weeks(payday). That was working until he got laid off. now we can't afford to pay Relief either, and we have since found out that Relief hasn't paid anything to the 2 original lenders because they wait(apparently) until we have made payments totaling 1000$ and then offer each lender 500 and go for payments from there. What do we do now? we got a respite in our payments to Relief until April 14, but he is still laid off and it doesn't look like they are going to call him back to work anytime soon.
