This is a scam!

This company called me and I answered and she wanted my SSN. I said who is calling me and for what reason. The woman got snappy and said she can't tell me ANYTHING till I give her my SSN! I had to repeatedly ask who this was but she said she couldn't tell me till I gave her my SSN. I said I wouldn't and she got mad and hung up! I looked up the caller id name and found out it was a collection agency. Then I checked my credit report and it was all fine! So I knew it was a scam! Never give out your SSN number to anyone over the phone unless you know 100% who it is! They still call but I don't answer!
