Phone calls from collection agency

I am receiving 3-4 calls a day from a collection agency. When I told the representative to stop calling me, she replied that they will keep calling until debt is paid. Also said they can call as many times a day until they reach me. Are they allowed to repeatedly call my phone?

According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, creditors can only call you from 8am to 9pm your local time, and cannot harass you with a multitude of calls. They cannot call you at work once you tell them that your employer prohibits it, again because of the FDCPA.

bottomfeeder is the term we use for collectors or JDB'S who love to violate the FDCPA.as for the self employed question.why not?it's your job,why should a bottomfeedr be allowed to call it as opposed to any other employer.
