Allied Interstate for Old Navy (GE Money)

Allied Interstate a third party collection agency for Old Navy offred me 40% balance $4300 for payment of $1720 , they are faxing over a settlement letter right now but said need the first payment of $200 done through ACH (checking) then next two payments from money order is this ok? Help ASAP!!!!!

They did send a settlement letter spelled out pretty good. They also gave me a confirmation number for the 1st $200. They wouldnt do the settlement without that first payment confirmation. I settled for 40%.

Continued :They also said I could send a money order for the next two payments. I called Old Navy and they said allied is authorized to settle for them. Do you think I'm ok, this is my first settlement and I am very nervous.
