what to tell creditors when the calls start

is it better to tell them you aren't working and have no income even if you are and still can't afford to make the payments, or tell them that you have reduced income and can't make the payments?

is there anything on the credit report that indicates employment so they know ahead of time just to see what you say?


when you apply for credit and put your employer on the application its (usually) gets reported onto your credit reports. from there creditors (with permissible purpose etc...) can obtain a copy of your credit report and simply call your employer to see if you're working there. its better to be up front with them. (and in life in general)
