If the account is over 3 years old the debitor does not have to pay in some states is this true?


depends on the debt,and state you are in.BTW you are refering to the SOL(statute of limitations)that means if you are aware of it a creditor can't legally sue.however,that does not mean the debt isn't owed.it can stay on your CR for 7.5 yrs from the first deliquency.as far as i know two states have it where the SOL extinguishes debt.WI,AND MS.
