And jail is scary to anybody i have never been i was crying for about three days. I have three kids a single parent with no family. Leaving nasty messages. He told me that if i dont fax a paper to him i would go to jail and i was scared and i did cause i never had to go through this before. I dont know what to do now cause i dont have the money anymore

No one can put you behind the bars for owing a debt.
These people will blow hot smokes to pull money from you.You need to be firm and answer them.
If you go through the FDCPA Act it says that- A debt collector may not use any false, deceptive, or misleading representation or means in connection with the collection of any debt, A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt.
Your Debt amount is not that huge, but beware before paying anything to them, as they can bounce back to you again and again.
You can check yourself whether this pdl of your's is legitimate and is licensed or not.
If you can provide the above asked information we can help you further.

Do not worry at all as they can never put you behind the bars.In worst scenario they can only file a judgement in a civil court. You have not mentioned what types of loan is this.If it on-line pay day loan then let me inform you that they are not legitimate company under your state so they try to give you all types of threating calls to get their money back.So the next time they call do not panic at all and if possible tell them to come up with a settlement offer. Each and every thing should be done in a paper work.
