What is a recovery unit?
Chase charged off 3 days ago, now it's in recovery unit what ever that is?Am I going to be sued by chase?

Did you try to settle with them prior to the charge off? The good news is now that it has charged off maybe you can get a good settlement from that unit or they may sell it to a collection agency that will settle with you.

Just because it went to the recovery unit doesn't mean that you are definately getting sued. Keep trying to settle with them if you have the money.

It may be Chase's in-house collection department. Try and negotiate a settlement with them.

Chase is one of the aggressive lenders and is prompt at suing, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they would. Communication would be your key. Don't avoid their calls.

Recovery unit finally offered 80% then went to 55% on 17k they say that is there base min they can offer, I told them I will see if I can get more money then the 5,000 that I offered before, that they refused cause I don't quailfy for a settlement. They say they have turned down my 30% offer too many times, to take it now.
My worry is they might sue me and won't send it to a CA
