CITI bank sue me for $11k credit card debt - probably you read some of my posts here before. Anyway, I want to settle this outside in the court.
I called their lawyer today ( mapother & mapother ) & they are also a debt collector- they won't settle with me unless i have $8440.00 - I cannot afford it - at first i offered them $4000 then $5000. still no answer:( is there any idea how to negotiate with this people? or should i just wait to go to the court & explained to the judge that i have this amount to settle but they will not accept it? please any idea would be very appreciated - i am very stress about this - I just really want to get
this done.

Legally, they do not have to accept anything but the full balance. There is nothing in the law or your card holder agreement that requires them to settle with you. Keep talking to the attornies office...but unfortunately the judge will rule against you unless you BOTH come to an agreement.
Try harder for a good settlement. Pay them what you have and ask
