Since these internet loan companies are not licensed in IL, has anyone had success in calling these companies and proposing to pay-off the remainder of the principal and to close the account?

Many of our members are from Illinois and I'm sure some of them had issues with pdls and also had successes in dealing with them. Some would surely drop in soon with his/her success story.

If they are extending loans to a state in which they know they should NOT be, they are breaking the law, so, why would they negotiate fairly? IMO, you can't negotiate with a criminal.
