I have been recieving phone calls from FIA searching for someone who is not related to myself. Althought the individual FIA is searching for has the same last name I have no relation to them. I called FIA to have my # removed from the list. They would not comply. Is there anything I can do??

A cease and desist letter can be used to stop debt collectors from calling you.Once the letter is received by the collector,the FDCPA will allow the collector to contact you for the final time and discuss the action that is to be taken next!!!

Pleae make sure you file complaints against them with the FTC and BBB, you can do so online.
