I have four payday loans; I had to take them out just to pay bills because I'm always paying my payday loans - I can't keep up anymore and I'm falling behind on whats important - rent, utilities, etc. I have two kids and work at a bank. I'm worried that if I default on these payday loans (all storefront) they will get me fired or sent to jail. I'm losing sleep!! Please help! I don't know what to expect :(

Check N Go - owe $500; Cash Advantage - owe $283.32; Fast Cash - owe $255.56; and QXL (internet) $200 plus fees (not sure what those are exactly; these are all paid off every other week, save for Cash Advantage and QXL which are brand new this week - my rent is behind and I am desperate. I live in Iowa. Is there any hope?

Your payday loan laws are at the link below:
'paydayloaninfo.org/stateinfo/IA.asp'
Internet payday lenders are not legal in your state, either because of restrictive laws, or because the state does not license companies not located in that state, but requires a state issued license to lend. The first thing you need to do is CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT! CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders, please read and follow the step by step guidelines, don't skip any steps! I will return shortly with information on the store front lenders, take care of them first and foremost, forget about the Internet lenders for now, just get your account closed, you can deal with them later, all they can do is threaten or harass you, they can't do anything else because they aren't legal!

Check n go and Cash Advantage are both members of the CFSA ( Community Financial Services Association of America) that means you are eligible for an extended payment plan! But you must go into the store BEFORE your next payment is due and request it, they won't offer it, you have to ask for it! They MUST allow you to sign up for it because they are members of the CFSA and the guidelines state they must adhere to the membership rules!

Once you request the EPP, the interest stops and you will pay these loans off in four separate payments on each payday! Don't let them tell you they don't have to offer the EPP because as members of the CFSA they MUST adhere to the guidelines (see link below) or you can file a complaint against them and have their membership revoked: http://www.cfsa.com

Read the link below about the epp:

No, storefront, and I think they are also a part of the CFSA or whatever you suggested, that does the EPP; my question then is, since I have three of these, can I determine my payback amount or is it determined for me? Not sure I can afford the payback amount!

Since you won't be paying the other lenders for awhile, why don't you start with one at a time, pay it down, then begin another, then another. I can't recommend a debt consolidation company, they are costly, and it's very difficult to KNOW for certain who is and is not working in your favor. You can search the ones you listed in the search box located in the upper right hand corner of this forum, to read what others have said about them, also the BBB, to see what complaints have been filed against them, do your research, I think you will not like what you find.

Ok, so I closed my checking account; however, I still have a savings account with my bank as I have to - I work for them as a teller. Every employee must have a depository account for their paycheck to go into - no exceptions. My question is, are they (the bank) allowed to draw from my savings if my checking overdraws due to pdls? There is no sweep account attached to the savings, but I thought maybe the bank would take it to pay off the overdrawn checking, which would be bad considering that is the only money I get - appx: $1200 every month - of which I must pay rent and support two children....can the bank legally take from my savings without my permission to do so?

That's something you need to ask the bank, if you sign up for an EPP plan, they won't attempt to deposit your check, as long as you follow through with the payments.

I have a few paycheck advances.
I owe check N Go $500
Elastic loans $500
United Cashloan $350
and Ameriloan $300
some other place called QXL got my info from another place I applied to and they keep calling me. I went on their page and verified my info but I didn't sign any contracts as I am trying to not take out any more loans. I live in the sate of FL but I am afraid if I stop paying these people, they will call my job. I am also afraid this QXL place will go into my bank accnt without my permission.
