I have been trying to get Arrow to verify a debt. I even hired an attorney whom stated they have 30 days to answer but do not have to at which time we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. I was trying to settle on a house by the deadline, that's gone. I tried so many times to call and make a settlement offer and they wouldn't even discuss the account with me. At this point my only other cheap option if they do not respond is to file a complaint with the attorney general's office of my state. It is an election year and I do believe he is runing for Gov. maybe he'll want to be helpful to the people of his state(wink.)
My question is can a collection agency just ignore a request for validation? If they do is there any recourse I have in response ?
