Its one of the few ways the collection agencies try to scare people to make them pay. You may call her up and find out what it is regarding. You may then follow the process of dealing with the collection agency by sending out a proper debt validation letter.

what is , " certified investigative assests ". Is that even a real title ?

Thanks, If they ever call me in regards to anything else,I will not even pickup the phone, they use tricky to get you to call in and threaten you with going to court . I should have know they were bottom feeders...:(

I have also dealt with this company in question GHW & although some of the methods of some of the Reps there were.....less than friendly, overall they did everything they said they were gonna do for me. They helped me to work out a legal & valid debt that i did owe, alos they discounted the figure owed & had it removed from my credit :-) the problem is people don't want to assume responsiblity for a debt they own b/c it's old. Now is that a reason not to pay a bill, do we stop taking care of or caring for our kids b/c they get older ? Be a man/woman you used the card so you should pay for it !

I was recently sued by Goldstein Henderson & Weiss. Luckily, when I showed up to court the judge was willing to allow me pay off my credit card debt with a reduced amount. This company is legit. They CAN and WILL sue you.
