How much do debt consolidation companies make off my consolidation? I understand that they are companies that need to make money like everyone else, but I evaluate things based on how much they charge for their services.

Also, I have multiple debts, though they are not all that overwhelming in amounts, it would be much easier and I believe faster, to pay them in one monthly payment. They vary from old utilities, car title loans, pay day loans, and credit cards. Would debt consolidation be a good move for this type of thing?

RazeFire, non profit debt consolidation companies generally charge low fees to consolidate your debts. The amount varies according to the companies. To check out the different debt consolidation companies, and the rates you can refer http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/ranking-chart/ .

Yes, you can go for debt consolidation for paying down your debt. However, in regards to your payday loans, you will have to first check if payday lending is legal in your state. To check out the payday laws in your state refer http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html . If payday lending is prohibited in your state, you are required to pay back only the principal amount.

Of course, most companies will charge a fee to provide a service such as debt consolidation. The trick is to find a company that provides said service within your price range. If spending a modest sum of money can help you get out of major debt, it is definitely worth it.
