hi I received a phone call from First IRS in Huston Tx, giving me until tomorrow to pay them via money graham- either 390 or 150 minimum or they are going to send this information to my ss and DL to be arrested for a "hot" check I told them that I am not working and that unemployment is not giving more extentions for now. So, they told me that It was a felony...and that I am going to end up in Jail. I have 2 girls I am scared and I don't know what to do? I am in California. Can anyone help me?

These are common threats collection agencies make in order to scare you into paying. You cannot be arrested for not paying a debt, even if you owe it. And they are lying about "hot checks", it isn't what they are saying it is.
If you are sure you do not owe the money, report the company to your state's attorney general and the FTC. If you are not sure you owe the money, then send them validation and verification letters via fax and certified mail and if they don't respond report them. Never pay anyone you are not 100% sure you owe.

they are a bottomfeeder that should be in jail themselves.search them in the bar top right.there are several threads about this illegal collector slime.you will not go to jail.file AG,and FTC complaints against these clowns.then file a police report as they broke the law themselves with the threat of jail.most of all know everything these slime say is a lie to scare you into paying them.do not fret,or even give them a thought after you file the complaints,and police report.
