I am an abitrator for a debt settlement company. This is my first time to come across a checking account with a balance of around $3100 that was closed with a balance of $1900. I need help on how to approach this settlement. Do these accounts settle 60-80% or on the low end like the credit card accounts, 20-35% ?

Im quite certain he means a checking acct overdraft. Like when they offer a line of credit to cover check shortages or even give you a second checking acct number that you can use to tap this second line of credit.

Its akin to going way into the negative on a checking acct and then closing the acct. Im in the same boat myself on a WF one. I have no idea how its going to pan out though as I just defaulted.
