When is the best time to offer a credit card company a settlement ? I heard most credit card co.'s stop dealing with their clients who are behind, after 4-6 months . Is this true ?

Yup....that is the best time to start talking about what you have or can up with....always aim for the end of the month.....settlements are more often accepted then.
