If you've overpaid on your payday loan accounts, you can ask for a refund from them as payday loan lending is not legal in NJ. You have already done the needful that should have been done. Therefore, you can just wait to see the next action of the lenders. Till then, stay cool..!!! :):)

Since they are illegal in NJ, you owe only the amount you borrowed. If you've overpaid, you can send a certified letter requesting a refund, telling them you will file complaints. I received a refund from one of mine. and some I overpaid and did not receive refunds. Eastside Lenders hounded me for over a year, sending it to Smith Haynes Watson, a scumbag collector. In the end I prevailed and I have been out of payday loan hell since 9/10.

I completely agree with what the previous posters have said. As the lenders are not licensed to operate in your state, so you are required to pay only the principal amount. Illegal payday lenders can???t take any legal action against you. You can request your bank manager to put a hard debit check on your bank account so that they can???t debit money from your account.
