I just entered into a program with Premiere Debt Solvers and was wondering about any feedback anyone might have. Are they legit? Anyone have anything bad to say about them? Thanks!

Tried searching info. on this site, but nothing. No one has mentioned this company at all. I hear they're too new to have a BBB rating. I don't know if that's good or bad.

I have 30 days to cancel with them without penalty. If I go about doing all this myself, how many months should I get behind on my payments before I cry foul with my creditors? I am in good standing as we speak and my money is coming from my 401k because I am unemployed and have absolutely no income! I have enough for 3 or 4 months tops. HELP!!:(

I work at PDS at Englewood Cliffs,NJ and settle my clients mostly at 25-35 % rate. Allow your accounts to age at least 4-5 months, be patient.Good luck!

I'm still trying to get my first payment refunded, despite the fact that my cancellation was done well within the 30 day period. I'm starting to realize I may never see that money again. Now I see why you guys have an F rating with the BBB.

We have been with Premier Debt Solvers for a few months now. We to have doubts. After receiving the phone calls from the creditors that we weren't use to. I do have a person with their customer service dept. who keeps in touch with me. When I spoke with her the other day, after we started receiving letters from the creditors telling us that we are eligible for settlement options. The employee from Premier Debt Solvers tells me that they do have a group who deals with the different creditors on a regular basis to do the negotiations. Supposedly they get audited at least once a year from a Federal firm who regulates these kinds of businesses. I also hear they have taken over serveral debt relieve companies who are just taking clients money and not doing anything for the client. Every time I've called any of the phone numbers for Premier, I have always received curtious and constructive assistance. The man who started this company was an attorney who worked with the creditors on negotiations. Supposedly the company has been around for ten years now. My mother uses another debt relief company and they really are a joke. Her debt relief company has a lot of complaints on the internet. I've been looking for some for Premier Debt Solvers. It sure is a scary situation, that's for sure. Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear about your refund. If you have faxed/mailed us your cancellation notice from page 8 of the Client Agreement within the grace period of 30 days , contact your Customer Rep or our manager Gabriel and ask for a status of your refund. Sometimes NoteWorld, online third party which handles your trust account, takes up to 14 business days to transfer your refunded payment back to your bank. FYI, BBB has a tendency to give bad ratings to anyone who has been in this industry for less than three years. I have many grateful and happy clients who i succesfully settled and saved from default judgement. Debt settlement is not a walk in the park and takes time, patience, great interpersonal skills, luck and tremendous amount of persistence....Please do not forget that you have to do you own research about the process and understand pros and cons of the debt settlement before you commit your finances to somebody-it takes two to tango.
If you wish, email me, so i could help you to investigate your status of refund.

True, my employer who owns PDS, worked as a bankruptcy attorney in the past and this experience comes very handy in his current business.
Company will be two years old in March. We have expanded our customer service division and negotiation department rapidly in the last few months and efficiency had improved greatly. I am very much looking forward towards October 27th, since the firm has restructured its operations. For those who did not heard about debt settlement new rules and restrictions, please check the link: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/30/business/30debt.html

I too have entered their program. If it works it will be great, but I am so nervous about it.
I have creditors calling all the time. I explain the situation and they just have a different person call a few days later. I had 17 calls yesterday. I finally quite responding. They are supposed to counsel you
but so far, I have had 3 different "mentors" in less than 3 months. My latest, Anthony, just
seems distant and often doesn't have answers --- like will I have to pay taxes on the excused amount owed to the credit card companies? He said he would get back, but didn't. Also, in a single day, I tried to reach him 5 different times and finally reached him aafter lunch. I can't sleep for the worry of it all. What is your take on this?

YES, you will have to pay taxes on the amount saved in the settlement, it is in your contract you have signed electronically and confirmed by tpv( taped Third Party Verification). For instance, if company settles your debt of $50,000 for $15,000, you will pay taxes on the extra income of 35,000 you saved with settlement. Were you ever aware that you have to pay taxes on anything more than $600, a general rule?
As for Anthony, he is a hard working kid and was probably a bit overwhelmed that particular moment. Management and owners demand a lot from their Customer Service reps and this job is truly challenging. I personally "live on the phone" constantly negotiating with collection agencies, lawfirms, following up with the customers about their creditors' behavior and explaining all over again what to do in case of summons and some "other surprises". It's a very fast-paced, exciting, but VERY stressful job, trust me. It's not for everyone-that's why you probably had 3 different reps in less than 3 months.

I don't recommend that you send any money to a debt settlement company. The best option is pay a debt settlement company a fee after they get you a settlement letter from the creditor or its agent. Call 866-833-6398 they can get you a settlement between 20-30 cents on the dollar.

Horrible company who just takes your money without having any results in resolving your debt. BBB has rated them with an F.

I've given at least $4000 and nothing. I called directly with my creditors and was able to negotiate a payment plan with them that I can afford as well as lowering my balance. Most creditors will work with you because they don't want to lose money.

Try contacting your creditors & negotiate. You'd rather pay them what you can to reduce your debt rather than pay someone else who MAY reduce your debt if not at all.

Once you go to a debt consolidation company, you no longer have control. Good Luck!

These people are a bunch of thives. My wife and I were in good standing with our creditors, but we were strapped, because of medical issues with our 3 year old my wife had to take a leave of absence. To make a long story short these people say they have a relatonship with cc companies, but what they really have is people that can lie really good. We did our own research and found out the negotiations with the cc companies do not start until after 36 months, meanwhile the cc companies can come after you and sue you like they did us. We spoke to Premier and they told us not to worry that they would handle it and did not. Once things started going bad they decided they would not return our calls. After about a month of trying to get them on the phone they finally answered and the guy that anserwed which was the guy that lied to us from the begining decided to start passing the buck to our counselor to the office manager to the shift manager and so on. This was at the begining of Jan 2011. To this date no one has called back and we are probably going to lose the money we put into it. I have contacted my attorney and he is willing to file suit. If anything, anyone who decides to work with these people beware or you might get in deeper than we were for $1300.00. You are better off if you are 2 months behind contacting the cc company and they will work with you, sometimes even settle without having to use these phonies.

I don't remember them ever telling me that they begin negotiations after 3 years. It was more like 4 to 6 months. Anyways, I took the advice on here and was able to cancel the program within the 30 day window, otherwise, I would've been ROYALLY had.

i entered into the program late oc 10, send 3 months worth of payments had crediters calling everyday. let me just say the are scammers, they keep 12 months worth of payment as their "fee" so for 12 months you are paying them, having crediters calling all day and night and nothing goes into your account to pay off your bills. SCAM dont do it, i lost every bit of my money i sent them, i wont see a penny of it. we were so stupid. we call all of our crediters and they lowered interesst on all of the to .50% or even 0% and lowered the amount we owe and we have a set plan now with nothing going to interest anymore. you can do this by yourself you dont need a company to do it for you

I have been with Premier for 14 months and am 1 payment from being debt free. I originally had a 3 year plan with them to settle 2 credit cards with balances totalling 33,400. Six months into the program I borrowed from my 401K to settle the larger of the 2 accounts. They were able to get me an 8,000 settlement on a 22,500 balance. I was very pleased with this. Then, when tax refund time came, I was able to get my second account settled. The balance was 10,900 and they got me a settlement for 5600. Overall I am very pleased, however I did have 4 different representatives over the course of 14 months. Only one of them bothered to contact me to let me know that they would no longer be my rep. Really that is my only complaint.
