Can a contact on your payday loan be contacted and told you owe money or wrote bad checks? I am struggling with this issue right now. Can you assist me on what to do?

Nope! Creditors are not suppose to disclose personal information to your references, however, if you are dealing with Internet payday lenders the likelihood of them being licensed/legal are slim to none, so, I wouldn't expect them to follow the laws, as they didn't to begin with. I know that isn't your fault but trying to legally stop them from disclosing your personal information through the legal system probably won't happen, most online illegal/unlicensed lenders aren't even located in the U.S. and exempt from our laws.
