For a couple of years, I have rec'd calls looking for a Timothy J Dean. I have told each caller this is my# and I do not know this Dean. Ususally it stops then for a while, but later the calls start again. I am assuming the # gets passed with the records of whatever is the object of collection. This week i was able to inquire and was told the caller was ER Solutions. The rep says my # will be removed. I really doubt it.
Is there a permanent solution that will stop the calls looking for Mr Dean?

Greetings Dave Snowden,

Got the exact situation going on with my telephone number.
CA says that we're sorry and we'll fix it.
They never do.

So I told them that the women had been sent to prison for attempted murder.
She'll be out in ten years.

The ca's stopped calling for now.

Regards,
King "Kash" Jabba Labba

Debt collector calls are always annoying but it becomes harassing when the debt is not yours but you're being contacted due to some misinformation. I'll tell you a few ways which might help you to stop the harassing collection calls.

You've already done the first thing by saying that it's a wrong number and nobody lives there by that name. But the problem is, the wrong number might put Mr. Dean's debt to your credit report also. So, check out your credit report to make sure it hasn't.

The next time the call comes, ask the caller that you want to talk to a supervisor. Tell him/her about the mistake and that they're violating FDCPA rules and ask them to remove your number. If you still receive the collection calls, see if your phone company has the facility of number blocking.

If none of these works, you can contact your state???s Attorney General and file a case. Under the FDCPA, you can send a certified letter to the agency asking them to validate the debt and ask them not to contact you since you don't owe the debt.

I think if you follow the steps I've mentioned, you'll get relief from the harassing calls.
