Sharing a Success - Finally

Finally got Arrow Financial (representing HSBC) to agree to a settlement. Ended up being approximately 43 cents on the dollar - one lump sum of $6,000 - but that is 25% of my debt cleared up. Now the challenge is to start saving again and tackle the next one.
Making the lifestyle change(s) has been tough, but if you remain vigilant, you can make it happen. So many people told me to do a bankruptcy, but I honestly felt that the long term impacts of a bankruptcy would cost me more than if I were to just really buckle down and start paying this stuff back.
It was hard to send the money - but what a great feeling to take care of it! I wish everyone good luck!!!!
