I have several illegal payday loan lenders eating away at my account. I live in Connecticut. I closed my bank account as I have paid back more than I have borrowed from these lenders. My banks stated to me that ach debits from these illegal companies can go through for 45 days and I can fight them after the fact. That is crazy. Someone has my account illegally and can debit it closed as much as they want? I only spoke to one person at my bank from 800 number. Please Advise? Waht are the steps needed to get my bank not to take ach debits from my closed account?
